Geography
Etah is located at 27.63°N 78.67°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 170 metres (557 feet).
Etah is nearest district of Aligarh, Agra, Mainpuri, Firozabad, Kashiram nagar.
The primary occupation of the people of the district is Agriculture. The area is situated between Ganga and Yamuna (Doaab) which is highly fertile land (Alluvial soil). The farmers are taking even three crops in a year. The water for irrigation is available round the year.
Etah is the developing city. It is the district headquarter since the English rule. NH 91 passes through Etah. The Padav maidan (open field ) is the field used for the army during army movements.
